Banner Display, Installation & Storage
Tips to properly display, install and store your banner!
PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY: Proper banner installation and maintenance ensure that your banner is properly displayed lending to the longevity and functionality of your banner. When your banner is not in use, proper storage techniques, will keep the banner in good shape for use for many years to come. Improper installation and storage can lead to banner damage.
PROPER BANNER DISPLAYING OPTIONS:
- SOLID SURFACE (buildings, walls, wood, aluminum, etc.): Each grommet point will need to be secured onto the surface with a screw and a washer. Failure to utilize all grommet points may result in a sagging banner and eventual damage to the sign.
- CHAIN LINK FENCE: Each grommet point will need to be secured to the fence with plastic zip-ties or "S" hooks. These two products can be found at home improvement stores.
- PLEASE NOTE: For chain-link fence installations you might want to consider purchasing a MESH BANNER that is printed onto a perforated banner material, that allows air to flow through the banner, causing less resistance than regular banner material that is solid and sail-like.
- BETWEEN TWO POLES: Utilizing every grommet point, on the top and bottom of the banner, lace rope through the grommets and then tie the rope off at all four corners. (For Over-The-Street banners with requirements you might need sewn in rope with "D" hooks to attach to an existing cable system.)
- POLE BANNERS: These banners are hung utilizing sewn-in "sleeves" or "pockets" using running along the top and bottom of the banner. The sleeves/pockets slide onto fixed or adjustable pole systems.
- WIND BANNERS: Wind banners also have a "sleeve" which is threaded onto a pole set, akin to putting up a camping tent, for indoor or outdoor displays.
HOW TO CLEAN A VINYL PRINTED BANNER:
- VINYL PRINTED BANNERS: If your banner starts to look a little dingy due to dirt build-up you can gently scrub the trouble sports with a soft cloth that has been dipped into a mild detergent. If storing the banner after cleaning make sure to wipe it dry and allow it to completely dry before storage.
- FABRIC BANNERS: There are different types of fabric banners, all of which, have their own set of safe cleaning instructions. It's always best to call your sign company and ask for proper cleaning instructions for your particular fabric banner.
STORAGE OF BANNERS:
