Our plotter machine cuts out the shapes of the letters/numbers and then the excess material is weeded away (pulled off and discarded) leaving only the lettered information, pre-spaced and intact, to be able to apply as one piece. As soon as the lettering has been weeded, we place a very low-tack transfer liner on top of the lettering to keep the lettering in place for easy application. What does "lettering only" mean?

When referring to "lettering only" it simply means that you are purchasing text or numbers at a specific size and color without graphics. The "lettering only" option can be single or several lines of text/numbers or a combination thereof (for vehicles, windows or walls). The lettering is cut-to-shape out of a sheet of pre-determined adhesive vinyl colors, with the excess material weeded away (pulled or picked out), leaving just the lettering/numbering in place to be applied as one whole, pre-spaced piece.

What type of vinyl do you recommend for vehicle lettering?

We always recommend and quote our High Performance (Premium) vinyl for vehicle lettering. The reason for this is that the high performance vinyl has a more aggressive adhesive and sticks better to the curves of the vehicle. Also, high performance vinyl, hast a longer life expectancy in harsh environments. Standard (Intermediate) vinyl can be used for vehicles, but we have found through the years, that our premium vinyl is a better product for all vehicle types and only costs pennies more than standard vinyl.

Where do I find color or font choice options on your website.

Currently, we carry over 200 fonts and 35 premium vinyl colors choices that would be too extensive to list online. We carry a lot of basic fonts that are easily recognizable by name (i.e. Arial, Helvetica, Futura, etc.) But if you have a specific font in mind, we probably have a font to match it.) As for colors, we carry all the standards (Black, Red, Green, Blue, White, etc.) and then some. I've never installed vinyl before...how do I do it?

Can I submit my own file for vehicle lettering?

Absolutely! If you have a file to submit for your lettering only cut vinyl order, we will gladly take a look at your file and see if it is cut-ready. All files for cut vinyl lettering (vehicle, wall, window, etc.) need to be "vector" based for the machine to be able to read where to cut. If you do not have a "vector" based file, you can always submit your file to our graphics team and see if we can re-create your lettering or vectorize it for cutting. When applied to a smooth, non-porous surface, our standard grade vinyl lettering will last up to 5 years outdoors without fading, cracking or peeling. Reflective Vinyl
