Accepted file formats for digital printing.

File Extensions: Description/Program Used

ILLUSTRATOR: .ai, .eps, .pdf: Adobe Illustrator: A drawing based graphic software program used to design and create VECTOR files for digital output.

COREL DRAW: .cdr, .eps, .pdf: CorelDRAW: Is another popular VECTOR based graphics software program that operates on the Windows (PC) platform.

PHOTOSHOP: .tif, .jpg, .pdf, .psd: Photoshop: A graphic software program allowing you to digitally alter photographs and type that is RASTER based.

IN DESIGN: .indd, .eps, .pdf: InDesign: Another drawing program from the Adobe Systems allowing VECTOR based file output.

Questionable File Formats

Windows & PowerPoint (.doc & .ppt)

While these are both great programs for creating small scale printing or presentation files, they do not translate well for large digital printing because they are not outfitted to create high resolution files. These two programs are simply not meant to create large print graphic files for full color digital output. Also, because of the operating system the font base can vary, causing font incompatibility issues when transitioning to our computer programs for digital output (Illustrator and/or Photoshop).

Quick Signs is fully aware that not everybody has and can operate the software we employ to create our signs. What we can suggest is that, even if you have a .doc or .ppt file, please upload your artwork for a completely FREE digital compatibility evaluation. Our trained graphic artists can review your art file(s) to determine how well they will print and also troubleshoot art situations to see how we can help bring your sign to life for you even in the face of artwork adversity!
