FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the difference between standard cut and custom cut decals/graphics?
A standard cut is basically any of the following shapes: square, rectangle, circle or oval. Standard cuts do not require any set-up and just about any file can be used to print from. A custom cut or "die-cut" is achieved by contour cutting around a graphic. Custom cut decals need to have the graphics set up in a certain file format to be able to "cut around" the artwork. Any customers in need of cut to shape decals will need to supply a "vector" file. We accept Illustrator and CorelDraw file formats for vector artwork.

How do I install my custom vehicle graphics once they arrive?
Your vehicle graphics will be ready to apply as soon as you receive them. The vinyl will be sandwiched in between the adhesive backing and a thin release liner. Installation is a fairly easy process, but if you have never installed adhesive decals before, please take a moment to view our online video on How To Install Vinyl. All orders that are shipped will come with an instruction sheet, but please feel free to call us with any installation questions you may have, we're here to help!
What types of files do you accept for upload?
For standard cut decals you can submit the following files: .JPG, .PDF, .TIF. For custom cut decals and graphics you will need to submit vector files. Vector files usually carry specific extension names, i.e. .EPS, .PDF, .AI or .CDR. If you have any questions about correct files to upload, give our design specialists a call at 1-866-267-4467, they'll be happy to help.
Premium vinyl versus Standard Vinyl...what is best for my vehicle?
We offer two types of vinyl...Premium Vinyl and Standard Vinyl. Either of our affordable vinyl materials can be purchased, but we definitely recommend our Premium (or High Performance) vinyl for vehicle graphics. Our premium vinyl has a more aggressive adhesive and is more flexible when having to conform to any raised or inverted contouring of a vehicle, which makes it easier to install. Standard vinyl is a bit more rigid and works best on flat smooth surfaces without having to contour around any surface fluctuations.
Do my custom decals need Lamination?
Technically, your custom decals and graphics do not have to be coated with a laminate, but it is highly recommended, especially on vehicles. Lamination preserves and protects your digitally printed decal against the elements as well as car-washing and extends the longevity of your product.
